Tunisia-Civil society activists reject the draft of the new Constitution

On the sidelines of his participation in the first civil society forum on the “draft Constitution submitted to referendum”, the president of the National Union of Tunisian Journalists (SNJT) Mehdi Jelassi stated that the draft does not ensure the independence of the judiciary.

For her part, the president of the Tunisian Association of Democratic Women Neila Zoghlami believed that it endangers the status of rights and freedoms. On the other hand, the President of the Tunisian Forum for Economic and Social Rights (FTDES) Abderrahmen Hedhili returned to the socio-economic situation in the country, calling on the Bouden administration to decree effective urgent measures to overcome the current crisis in which the country faces.
