Tunisia-Clandestine migration – A four -year -old girl arrives in Italy alone

A four-year-old girl reached Lampedusa Island alone on a clandestine migration boat. This was confirmed by MP Majdi Karbai in status on his Facebook page, Wednesday, October 19, 2022.

Her Parents and their seven-year-old daughter have stayed blocked on the beach from which the boat took off towards Italy. She would have left with the little girl only in precipitation at a time of panic.

The child was instantly taken care of by the Save The Children association. Quoting the spokesperson for the association Giovanni Di Benedetto, the agency Ansa said that the case had been reported in the process to the competent authorities and that the child had been moved to “a protected community”. He added that all required measures would be deployed to bring the family together.
