Tunisia-CNAM and Doctors in private sector end all ties

The executive office of the Tunisian Union for liberal doctors held the national health insurance fund (CNAM) “fully” responsible for the lag in the drafting of a new agreement, consequently putting an end to any contractual relationship as of July 1.

The executive office announced it was stunned by the stance of the CNAM which didn’t honour its responsibilities over the past four months by enrolling into negotiations on the development of a new convention, despite calls of the union.

They called on all doctors in the private sector to remain attached to the union and to prepare for the next step in which its content will be prepared by the administrative commission on its meeting on June 28.

The union said it was ready to negotiate for the signing of a new agreement that respects the rights of all parties concerned.
