Tunisia- Non-resident and unvaccinated travelers will be banned from entering Tunisian territory

The French diplomacy evoked today that as of December 1, 2021: Travelers over the age of 18 flying to Tunisia are strongly recommended to have completed their vaccination before their departure.
From December 1, 2021, all travellers over 6 years old going to Tunisia need:
  1.  Submit a negative PCR test, bearing a QR code, carried out less than 48 hours before the first embarkation.
  2.  finish the necessary information requested on the site https://app.e7mi.tn/travelers/add before boarding, then print and sign the documents created by the application which will be provided to the Tunisian health services on arrival. It is recommended to indicate a Tunisian telephone number (for example that of the person who accommodates you or of the hotel) to confirm these documents. Random antigen testing will be performed on arrival, positive people will have to go through mandatory quarantine.
    The same source added that these measures are applicable to both vaccinated and unvaccinated people.
  3. undergo random screening tests that will be completed on arrival. Positive people will have to apply for the mandatory quarantine
Resident travellers who have not been vaccinated or who have an unfinished vaccination or who have only received a single dose of vaccine (for vaccines with two injections) entering Tunisia must also:
  • submit to 10 days compulsory quarantine  from their arrival in Tunisia, at their expense, in one of the confinement centres set by the Tunisian authorities (list on this page) and present evidence of reservation upon boarding and payment (“voucher”), which must include: transfer costs from the airport, accommodation costs fand the costs of the PCR test to be carried out in the last 24 hours of confinement obligatory ;
  • carry out a PCR test during the last 24 hours of compulsory quarantine, at their expense (indicative price: between 170 and 209 Tunisian dinars, or between 57 and 70 euros). If the result of the PCR test is negative, travellers can be freed from containment while pledging to comply with preventive health measures. If the test is positive, the affected traveller will be transferred to a medical isolation centre for positive cases.
Notes: Minors (under 18) travelling alone and minors accompanying people vaccinated are excluded from compulsory quarantine. People arriving in Tunisia for medical treatment need to submit to the conditions outlined above and have authorization from the relevant services of the Ministry of Health.
They are notified by the structure that receives them of the steps to be taken and is followed by a manager who must accompany them throughout their care.
Finally, since April 19, 2021, passengers on charter flights or those who have taken out an organized trip (“Inclusive Tour / Voyage à Forfait”) must comply with the following specific measures:
  • presentation upon arrival, of the result of a negative PCR test (with QR code), carried out no more than 72 hours before boarding
  • commitment to stay in groups and to rigorously respect the Tunisian health protocol upon arrival in Tunisia, including tourist transport, accommodation and travel, both inside and outside establishments tourist accommodation.
