Tunisia-Coronavirus: Temperature sensors for passengers installed at Tunis Carthage Airport

Two temperature sensors for travellers have been installed at Tunis Carthage Airport to assist in identifying people arriving from China speculated of having contracted the coronavirus, Said Basic Health Care Director at the Health Ministry Chokri Hammouda.

Travellers suspected of having contracted the virus will undergo medical tests and examinations, said Hammouda in a declaration to the TAP agency. He indicated that other airports in the country will have similar facilities.

Test results of the suspected cases will be transferred to  Charles Nicole Hospital, he said. He affirmed that confirmed cases will receive the necessary treatment. Symptoms of the disease are mainly fever and cough, he added.

Hammouda asserted that the airport medical crews and civil aviation officials had been notified of the lists of people coming from China so that they can take the required preventive measures.
