Messadi reminded in a statement to TAP of the speed with which UK variant spreads, warning against its dangers whatever the age or health of the person. The UK variant causes a rapid deterioration of health, he noted, stressing the imperative to protect oneself from the danger of the South Africa and Brazil variants in case they enter the country. Cases of infection with the coronavirus for the second time have also been recorded, the same source said, adding that the period of immunity acquired by people recovering from the virus varies between 4 and 6 months. The accelerated increase in the number of infections may lead to a deterioration of the health situation, recalling that the health system is currently operating with means exceeding its capacity and cannot resist any longer, he warned.
