Tunisia: COVID-19 Indian variant detected in Siliana

The regional health director in Siliana, Adel Haddadi, affirmed this Monday, June 28, 2021, that two cases of the Indian variant of the coronavirus have been identified in two people (a woman and a man).

After the publication of the results of the genetic sequencing of a number of samples, two strains of the virus was accordingly discovered in the region: the British and the Indian. He added that yesterday, Sunday, the coronavirus killed 5 people, including an 11-year-old child.
