The official spokesperson for the Ministry of the Interior, Faker Bouzghaia, confirmed that security investigations into the incident of the death of a security agent in Sfax following the detention of several sub-Saharan Africans living illegally inside one of the buildings in the city centre indicated that the death of the security guard happened following a fall from the top of the building while he was chasing several ‘Africans on the run.
He emphasised that the fall was the result of a miscalculation on the part of the deceased security guard, denying what was circulating on social media that he was pushed from the top of the building.
