Tunisia-Death toll from COVID-19 passes 1000 mark

The Ministry of Health announced 2,125 new infections with the coronavirus on October 25 and 26 following the 5,968 tests carried out. That is to say a positivity rate of 35.6%.

This new report brings the total number of contaminations identified since the appearance of the virus last February to 54,278 cases out of a total of 336,380 analyzes carried out, or 16.1% of the total of tests carried out since February.

According to the same source, 52 additional fatalities were also recorded on October 25-26, bringing the overall number of coronavirus deaths since the start of the pandemic to 1,153.

The mortality rate for every 100 thousand inhabitants since the beginning of the pandemic until October 26 is 9.7.
