Tunisia: Deaths of six infants at Taher Maamouri hospital in Nabeul. explanations from the regional healthcare director

The regional healthcare director in Nabeul Dalal Zouaoui Barouni, affirmed Tuesday the death of six babies in the Neonatal intensive care unit of Taher Maamouri Hospital.

In an official statement to “Tunis Afrique Presse,” Barouni promptly confirmed that most of them were premature infants. The infants died over a period of three days.
A medical team will be properly transferred from the capital to promptly investigate the matter. Until then a regional investigation was launched,  in order to determine the causes behind the infants passing.
