Defence Minister Imed Hazgui and ambassador of Qatar in Tunis Saad bin Nasser Al Humaidi reviewed the progress of military collaboration between the two counties at a meeting Thursday.
Ambassador Al Humaidi reiterated his country’s steadfast willingness to assist Tunisia in different fields while praising the strong relations between the two countries.
He commended the Tunisian experts operating in Qatar and their contribution to achieving development and prosperity, the Defence Ministry said in a statement.
Minister Imed Hazgui highlighted the depth of Tunisian-Qatari relationships, extending an invitation to Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defence Affairs Khalid bin Mohamed Al Attiyah to visit Tunisia.
The meeting additionally concentrated on essential regional issues, including the security situation in Libya.
Both sides highlighted the necessity to accelerate the political and peaceful settlement of the Libyan crisis in order to restore security and stability to Libya and pave the way for the reconstruction process.
