Tunisia-Disappearance of a file from court: the Pesidency clarifies

The  Presidency of the Republic confirmed that the judicial file referred to by the President of the Republic, Kais Saied, during his meeting today with the Minister of State Property and Land Affairs  Ghazi Chaouachi  “was not present till midday Wednesday among the files which are presented to the court, and it has been verified for more than one occasion, the last of which was this afternoon. ”

In a press release, the Presidency of the Republic added that “the fingers of accusation were not directed against any particular party, but it is a reality that no one disputes,” emphasising that “accusations are not thrown randomly .”

“The concern of the President of the Republic arises, not from an alleged accusation, nor by a response refuted by facts  beyond doubt or attempts to question, but rather stems from his concern for public money and the application of the law to everyone without discrimination or exception.”

The Presidency noted that “many other files, whether those filed or those intended to be obscured or hidden,” are being followed up, without providing relevant details.
