Agents of the National Unit for Research on Terrorism and Organized Crime succeeded to dismantle an international network active in the trafficking of human organs between Tunisia, Turkey and Jordan,a private radio report.
The investigation carried out indicates that the international network is led by a Turkish man. He is accountable for deporting Tunisians to Turkey and Jordan and housing them in private clinics to undergo surgery and remove some of their organs, most of which are kidneys, in exchange for sums of money.
The money is valued at 40 thousand dinars. This sum is then either sent to the family of the person who has had one of their organs removed, or they receive it directly.
