Tunisia-Djebel Semmama:13-year-old girl injured in mine explosion

A mine exploded in the closed military zone in Djebel Semmama from the region of Ouled Abbes, resulting in the injury of a 13-year-old girl while she was with her mother gathering rosemaries, she was transported to the regional hospital for treatment.

Speaking to Shems FM, regional health director Abd al-Ghanī Chaâbani said the child sustained moderate injuries on the legs and face and her health condition is stable.

On his part, spokesperson for the Court of First Instance, Riad Nouioui affirmed that the Public Prosecution had commissioned the opening of an inquiry with the Search and Inspection Division of the National Guard in Sbeitla to investigate the incident.
