Tunisia-Italian waste case: FTDES unveils new details

The Tunisian Forum for Economic and Social Rights (FTDES) announced that Italy has admitted its responsibility in the Italian waste file, unveiling that the province Compania has inflicted on the exporting company to retrieve the waste within 3 months.
In a press release, it additionally emphasised that Italy has acknowledged this to be a violation of international conventions, calling on the Tunisian authorities to take advantage of this and set pressure on Italy.
In addition, the FTDES called on the authorities in charge of the case to reveal the state of the case as well as the procedures put in place to ship the waste before March 9.
