The two cases of domestic infection with COVID-19 were reported over the past 4 days are the outcome of citizens’ non-compliance with preventive measures, particularly the wearing of masks, social distancing and hand washing, member of the Scientific Committee for the Fight against the coronavirus (COVID-19) Jalila Ben Khelil said in a statement to the TAP.
These 2 cases were registered in less than 4 days, after reporting zero cases for more than 3 successive weeks, she said TAP.
“The medical teams and the state are operating to stem the spread of the virus, but citizens are compelled to respect health prevention measures,” she added.
She also indicated that medical teams will conduct rapid screening tests in all governorates in early September to assess the epidemiological situation in the country.
