The Parliamentary Laws Committee approved the ratification of draft law No.30-2020 on the delegation of power to the prime minister Elyes Fakhfakh to issue decree-laws intended to tackle the outcomes of the spread of CORONAVIRUS
The committee’s bureau is foreseen to sign today the report of its works and present it to the House of People’s Representatives (HPR) Bureau.
Tuesday’s works were devoted prominently to the classification of areas incorporated by the delegation of power. These areas are limited to finance, tax, rights and freedoms, criminal proceedings, health, environment, education, public services and civil servants’ fundamental rights.
The decree-laws are anticipated to be submitted to a vote by the HPR, five days after the conclusion of the power delegation period.
The amended draft law and the duration of the power delegation period that was limited to only one month instead of two, have been approved on Monday.
