Tunisia-Echaab News: Saïed’s speech at the Aouina barracks is a “declaration of war”

On its front page today, UGTT newspaper Echaab News considered that the last speech of the President of Republic  Kais Saïed on the sidelines of his visit to the barracks of Aouina is a “declaration of war”.

It should be recollected that the UGTT executive office recalled in its official statement that the detention of the secretary general of the Tunisia Autoroutes union was made following the speech of Saïed.

According to the same source, this detention constitutes an attack on union action, union rights, international conventions adopted by Tunisia and the Tunisian Constitution which guarantees respect for union freedoms including the right to strike.
