Prime minister Hichem Mechichi welcomed today, Thursday, July 15, 2021, the ambassadors of the Group of Seven industrialized countries and the Ambassador of the European Union in Tunisia, in the attendance of the Minister of Economy Ali Kooli at Kasbah palace.
On this occasion, Mr Mechichi offered an overview of the law on economic recovery and the settlement of foreign exchange offences approved by the parliament and the structural reformations that Tunisia intends to begin to subdue the economic consequences of the Coronavirus.
For their part, the ambassadors expressed their support and their availability to stand alongside Tunisia in its efforts to surmount the difficult epidemiological situation given the continued spread of the virus and the surge in the periodic number of infections. They additionally expressed their support for Tunisia within the framework of negotiations with the International Monetary Fund and with donor nations, renewing their unequivocal support for our country’s efforts to improve the economy and stimulate investment.
