Tunisia-Ennahdha calls for a protest on February 6 in Revolution Avenue

Ennahdha revived its demand for the immediate liberation of Noureddine Bhiri, holding “the Head of State and the Minister of the Interior accountable for his safety”. It likewise called for the holding of “a protest this Sunday, February 6 in Revolution Avenue to support Noureddine Bhiri and all the people incarcerated by force and to challenge the violations of rights and freedoms since the unconstitutional coup.

The movement even held the authority in place responsible for “the decline of the socio-economic situation and accused it of indifference in the face of skyrocketing prices, the shortage of basic products, the delay in payment of wages of workers in the sector and the inertia of the government”.

In addition, it accused the power in place of deepening the political crisis and invited it to take responsibility for its failure and inability to manage the country and keep the pledges of salvation.

Stressing that national dialogue is critical given the current situation to secure political and governmental stability and to develop economic choices in order to save the country from the spectre of bankruptcy.
