Ennahdha Shura Council met on April 24 by videoconference to address the political, economic and health crisis and potential solutions to overcome it, according to a statement released by the Movement.
According to the same source, the nation’s economic, social and health situation is the top priority. State institutions need to step up efforts to deal with the pandemic and to mitigate its consequences, in particular on the most vulnerable.
Reemphasizing that the ministerial reshuffle crisis had wrecked the interests of the State, the Shura Council called on the President of the Republic, Kais Saied to avoid subjective interpretations of the constitutional text, emphasising the necessity to take the needed measures to end the crisis.
It also commended the work of the medical staff who fight in the forefront despite the cruel lack of means as well as the initiatives of the civil society to support the efforts, indicating the success of the Association of SOLID 19 having succeeded in sending 2000 oxygen machines which were distributed to various hospitals.
