Tunisia – Extension of preventive detention of Harouni and Frikha

The investigating judge of the Financial Judicial Pole informed former Minister of Transport, Abdel Karim Al-Harouni, and businessman and former MP, Mohamed Frikha, of the decision to prolong the preventive detention against them for another four months.

It should be remarked that the first investigating judge of the Financial Judicial Unit had issued arrest warrants against Abdel Karim Al-Harouni, Mohamed Frikha and a former general director of a government oil company, for suspicion of financial and administrative corruption in public transactions affiliated with the oil company.
