Tunisia-Farid Belhadj: The World Bank supports Tunisia

The President of the Republic, Kaïs Saïed, welcomed Friday, June 24, 2022, the Vice-President of the World Bank for the Middle East and North Africa Ferid Belhaj.

During this meeting, the accent was put on the social role of the State in various sectors. On this occasion, the Head of State emphasised the significance of the role played by the World Bank in Tunisia, after independence, especially in the field of education. He added that the required legal frameworks must be put in place to permit young people to become economic actors.

For his part, Belhaj affirmed that the World Bank will support Tunisia.
