Tunisia- Fires damages more than 100 hectares of hazelnut forest in Nabeul

Consuming fires have ravaged 100 hectares of a hazelnut forest in the Ghardaia district of Beni Khiar in Nabeulaccording to Regional Director of Civil Protection Lotfi Ben Alaya.
90 civil protection officers, buttressed by 16 loaded trucks of firemen, forest agents and the national army, have been struggling fiercely for more than 6 hours to properly contain the fire

Ben Alaya said arson might be behind the incident due to the eruption of many fires at the same time.
