Tunisia-FM Othman Jerandi receives Russian Ambassador to Tunisia

 Minister of Foreign Affairs Othman Jerandi welcomed, this Friday, February 25, 2022, the Russian Ambassador to Tunisia, Vadim Barabanov. Othman Jerandi referred to the situation in the region and called for operating towards the settlement of the dispute by peaceful means and for preferring dialogue as an appropriate means of resolving disputes between States.

The Tunisian minister likewise insisted on the role played by the international community to encourage the various parties to negotiate and reach a settlement of the crisis, in accordance with the law and international conventions.

In addition, the two parties have discussed the prospect of repatriating members of the Tunisian community, through neighbouring countries, notably Russia.
