Tunisia-Friguia Park responds to the traffic controversy of four white tigers

Mohamed Bayoudh director’s of Friguia park denounced circulating information on the smuggling of four white tigers to Libya.Mr. Bayoudh declared that the local park had signed an agreement with a Lybian zoo to host the Tigers. Mr Bayoudh continued to say that male tigers in especial cannot coexist together in one cage.

With several hundred remainings worldwide, The World Wildlife Fund predicts that the number of wild tigers fell from 100,000 in 1900 to around 3,900 today.

Formerly, officials were capable to intercept a car smuggling four white tiger cubs across the border to Libya. The prime culprit said he bought the tigers form a private zoo in Enfidha.

The cubs were delivered to the General Directorate of Forests in Medenine. Moreover, the prosecution ordered to properly investigate the matter and keep the suspect under probation.
