The governorate of Gafsa recorded the death of a doctor from COVID-19. The doctor passed away in the intensive care unit at Tahar Sfar University Hospital in Mahdia.
As of last October, no less than 3,800 coronavirus cases have been identified among the ranks of medical and paramedical workers in the public and private sectors.
Dozens of cases of death have also been recorded among doctors, nurses and health workers. Last night, a 53-year-old nurse from Tebourba working at the military hospital in Tunis died of the virus.
