The union of the General Federation of Higher Education of Scientific Research condemned the delay in payment of teachers’ wages. In a press release published on Monday, the federation revealed that the salaries had to be paid since the start of January and that this delay will cause late payment penalties with the banks.
It said that it is a lack of respect for the teacher. In this sense, it denounced the behaviour of the Ministry of Higher Education towards its officials.
In addition, the general federation of higher education called on the presidency of the government and the ministry of finance to interfere as soon as possible in order to solve this problem which weighs heavily on teachers.
