The dispute surrounding the assignment of the disbanded ex-secretary general of the RCD Mohamed Ghariani as an adviser to Rached Ghannouchi proceeds to generate much debate.
Scrutinized for having opted for an ex-RCDist, House speaker Rached Ghannouchi stated that only reconciliation and dialogue should predominate in Tunisia. “Ghariani has already begged forgiveness from the Tunisian people and has not bragged about his past,” he asserted, assuring that it was time “to open the doors to the right people”.
“Other countries have tried revenge, they have failed, we have to learn from South Africa’s experience,” he added.
