Speaking to Tunisie Numérique, Director General of the Tunisian Solidarity Union Mounir Hajji underscored with the consent of the President of the Republic, Kais Saied, and the Minister of Social Affairs, Malik Zahi, an additional 20,000o f “Ramadan baskets ” was approved for the profit of poor and limited-income families.
Hajji stated that the social program of the Tunisian Union for Social Solidarity, in collaboration with the Ministry of Social Affairs, included the approval of 45,000 “Ramadan baskets,” which were allocated during the holy month and were raised by 20,000 baskets, bringing the total number of aid to 65,000 baskets.
Our speaker also pointed out that the last days of the holy month also include several activities, carried out by the Tunisian Union for Social Solidarity, which start with the second half of Ramadan, and some children from needy families are circumcised in sanatoriums or public hospitals, and “Eid clothing” is furthermore distributed to Nearly 20,000 children are from these families.
Hajji drew attention to the regional efforts launched by the regional committees for social solidarity in the various states of the Republic, as some parties are held and quantities of refreshments are distributed on this occasion.
