The Secretary General of the Workers’ Party, Hamma Hammami, called today Thursday, “for the boycott of the next presidential elections actively and effectively”, expressing: “We call for a boycott of this new electoral farce”.
He clarified, speaking to a private radio station, that he “considers that these elections will not meet the minimum legal conditions, such as freedom of candidacy and propaganda”, underlining that “boycotting the elections is a greater responsibility than to partake in it.”
Hammami underscored that “there is no legal electoral and political climate in Tunisia”, stressing that “the participation rate in the previous legislative elections was a farce in the world, and the current parliament is a puppet parliament”.
