Tunisia- Hayet Omri Among 6 Most Influential Women in the Arab world

House of the people representatives MP Hayet Omri was picked among the six most influential women in the Arab world at the symposium of Arab women engineers held in Kuwait in early February.

In a statement to TAP, Omri stated that her selection is an honour for Tunisia.

Omri chaired the Tunisian Association of Women Engineers during the conference, she expressed hope for Tunisia to host the conference next year.

She stressed that the prospects for collaboration between Tunisia and the Arab countries in the hiring of engineers are productive. “Tunisian skills are in need abroad, particularly since surveys indicate that 3000 engineers emigrate abroad to search for better chances in employment “, she said.

The Arab Women Organization, belonging to the Arab League had selected Omri among the 100 most influential women in the Arab world in 2017 and 2018.
