Tunisia- Hechmi Hamdi: “I declare the post of the Presidency of the Republic vacant”

Tunisian-British politician Hechmi Hamdi revealed: “I confirm to the Tunisian people that the post of Presidency of the Tunisian Republic has become vacant today, Wednesday, September 22, 2021, after the declaration of the new measures by Kais Saied a few hours ago, which affirmed his divergence from the constitution and his rebellion against the law.
“Disqualifying Kais Saied has become a must,” he added, “This duty rests with the MPs, supported by the people. The national army, internal security forces and the national guard need to stop dealing with Kais Saied and receive their instructions from the House of People’s Representatives. ”
“I assure the Tunisian people that if they are content with the decisions taken today by Kais Saied, they will lose their freedom, their dignity and their rights for a long time (..) Today is the day of examination, during which people are either honored or humiliated, ”he said.
