In a statement to Tunisie Numérique, today, Thursday, March 7, 2024, Vice President of the Tunisian Astronomy Society, Hisham Yahya, confirmed that the society issued a statement in which it confirmed that the first day of the holy month of Ramadan will coincide with Monday, March 11, 2024.
Yahya added that the sensory or visual vision of observing the crescent moon shows that the first day of the holy month will be March 12 due to the lack of clarity of the crescent on the night of doubt, awaiting the decision of the Mufti of the Republic.
The same source emphasised that the final decision in this regard rests with the Fatwa House.
