The Public Prosecutor’s Office of the Court of First Instance of Tunis ordered the conduct of the required research to determine the responsibilities and uncover the circumstances of the discovery of a human leg thrown into one of the corners of Sidi Rassas road in El Halfaouine in the centre of the capital.
According to preliminary data, inquiries carried out by agents of the National Security District in Tunis Ville showed that the human leg belonged to a woman suffering from diabetes who underwent surgery in a private clinic, where her physicians had to amputate it due to diabetic gangrene. According to the same data, clinic officials disposed of the human leg in a way that infringes established regulations. Critical research has been launched to reveal the circumstances of the arrival of the amputated organ at the place where it was found.
