Tunisia – IMF agreement is necessary but insufficient

Economy expert, Ezzedine Saidane confirmed that it is more than crucial to reach as quickly as possible to an agreement with the IMF, given the profound crisis that the country is experiencing.

He added that this deal will be insufficient to get the country out, since due to the quotas applied by the IMF, Tunisia cannot receive more than two billion dollars over three years. Without forgetting the ceiling of $ 1 billion a year, is not to be surpassed.

As a result, Saidane has called on the authorities to speed up getting this money and to make sure to seek other local solutions to create wealth.
