Tunisia- ISIE: More than 6 million voters can participate in the referendum

According to the latest update of the register, carried out by the Independent High Authority for Elections (ISIE) in December 2021, the body revealed on Friday that 6 million 940 thousand and 579 voters are recorded in the electoral register and eligible to vote in the referendum of July 25, 2022.

The number of registered voters, during the last extended roll operation on the electoral lists of 2019, was about  7 million and 74 thousand voters. On the other hand, the number of those documented in the electoral register, established on December 31, 2021, is 7 million and 7 thousand voters, after deducting the number of deceased persons. This number will be adjusted downwards, to 7 million, after the subtraction of the security forces and the military who are not involved by the referendum.
