Tunisia-Iyadh Elloumi: Parliament could have isolated Kais Saied from the beginning

Speaking to Tunisie Numérique, politician Iyadh Elloumi declined having been notified of the organization of a plenary session of Parliament by videoconference. He confirmed that he will partake in this session, indicating that the first vice president of the parliament Samira Chaouachi participates in significant diplomatic meetings.

“A delegation from Parliament is proceeding to Washington about this. We have the right to defend ourselves,” he said. Elloumi ensured that the Parliament is one battle behind since it could have isolated the Head of State Kais Saied from the beginning.
