Tunisia-Iyadh Elloumi: When Kais Saied speaks of “corrupt”, he is actually targeting Nabil Karoui

Speaking on the national radio, Qalb Tounes MP Iyadh Elloumi affirmed that the acceptance of the UGTT initiative by the President of the Republic Kais Saied after the issuance of a committal warrant against Nabil Karoui, confirms that in reality, Kais Saied was targeting Karoui when he had communicated his refusal to hold a  dialogue with “corrupt people”.

“The message is obvious,” remarked Elloumi, who said Karoui was the victim of a plot and that his detention was the result of expert reports in which the majority of the data was tampered with.

He further announced that no alliance has yet been made between Qalb Tounes and other parliamentary blocs, including Ennahdha and Al Karama, emphasising that the fact that these blocs support the government does not mean that they form a coalition.
