In a statement to a private radio, the director of the Tunisian League for the Defense of Human Rights Jamel Mssalem announced that the Quartet is preparing to present a new initiative for national dialogue in order to surmount the crisis that the country currently knows.
He expressed his concerns about respect for rights and freedoms particularly with the combination of all powers in the hands of one person. He further emphasised the importance of finding solutions to end the state of emergency, calling for specific deadlines after which these measures will cease.
