Speaking to Tunisie Numérique, Political analyst Salah al-Din Jurshi presented his perspective on the decision by the Tunisian General Labor Union (UGTT) to withdraw its case against PDL leader Abir Moussi.

He emphasised the positive nature of this step, especially in light of the previous use of the case to target Moussi while she was in prison. Jurshi suggested that the UGTT’s action reflects an attempt to alienate itself from engaging in settling political scores and interfering in the party’s affairs.

According to al-Jurshi, while this step may contribute to alleviating tensions within political life, a more comprehensive purification of political life is essential. He called for measures from the president of the republic aimed at restoring a positive environment in the realm of freedoms, releasing political prisoners, and putting an end to the drop in this domain.

As a reminder, Abir Moussis’s lawyer, Mr Nafie Al-Araibi, revealed that eight cases had been raised against the  PDL leader from various entities, including the Labor Union, the Elections Commission, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs,
