Local authorities promptly seized large quantities of medicines after ambushing a Medication trafficking network in Kairouan.
The trafficking network includes a doctor, a pharmacist and two other suspects as well as a woman who is still on the run. The prime suspects will be transferred To the Public Prosecutor’s Office of the Court of First Instance in Kairouan.
It is worth mentioning that the network members are from three different regions (Sousse, Nabeul and Kairouan) and are smuggling medicines toward Algeria. Other parties might be implicated in the trafficking.
