On the sidelines of a visit by the Minister of Cultural Affairs Hayet Guetat Guermazi to Kairouan, civil society activist, Samir Sayala told Tunisie Numérique that the residents decided to mobilize today to protect the region’s right to development.
The speaker lamented the situation of Aghlabid basin which is decaying day by day under the silence of the authorities. He called in the same line of ideas for the speed-up of the redevelopment work, emphasising that a Saudi fund has already been allocated to set up green spaces around this monument while nothing has been accomplished until today.
Note that the Minister of Cultural Affairs, Hayet Guetat will pay a visit to the governorate of Kairouan today to supervise the progress of certain projects.
