President of the Kais Republic Saïed welcomed today the Assistant Secretary of State for Near Eastern Affairs Barbara A. Leaf.
The meeting concentrated on bilateral relations between Tunisia and the United States as well as the current situation the country faces.
On this occasion, the head of state called on the U.S authorities to listen to the reality of the situation.
He attached, in the same framework, to the sovereignty of Tunisia voicing his dissatisfaction with the statements of certain US officials.
According to the press release from the Presidency of the Republic, the two officials examined the socio-economic situation in the country and the role that the international community could play to assist Tunisia to recover the robbed funds.
