Tunisia-Kais Saied : “We will stand before God individually, without parliament or government”

During his supervision of the procession of granting prizes to the winners of the 53rd session of the National competition for the recitation of the Quran for the year 1443 AH / 2022 AD on Monday, the President of the Republic, Kais Saied assessed that the true purposes of Islam are to preserve oneself, honour, money, religion and freedom, believing that “our relationship is with God, not with the State or any other party”. “We will stand before God individually, without parliament or government by our side when traversing the Sirat (straight path) (…) We have not witnessed a state, parliament or government cross the path or stumble…”, he specified.

“Sometimes we encounter manifestations of Khuchou’ (fear) in mosques, and as soon as we leave the gate of the mosque, these manifestations fade (..), whereas Islam is right and belief in God. “, he added. “God has commanded us to be truthful in speech and godliness, so where is the honesty of words among those who talk and disbelieve and are insincere even with themselves? He continued, “God likewise ordered us to assume Al Amana (deposit), keep ties of kinship and good neighbourliness (..) and forbade us from immorality, lying, and abuse of an orphan’s money…”.
