Tunisia: Kasserine switches from general to targeted lockdown

The regional commission for the battle against the coronavirus in Kasserine has decided to suspend general lockdown in the delegations of Hassi el Farid, Majel Bel Abbes, Kasserine north, Kasserine south and Ezzouhour, given the reduction in the infection rate.

Regional authorities have declared these delegations will move from general to targeted lockdown. This decision comes into force on Monday and will be applicable till July 11, 2021.

The new measures are as follows:

• Curfew between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m. (except for emergencies and exceptional cases)
• Ban on dining in cafes and restaurants from 4 p.m.
• Ban on parties, demonstrations and gatherings of any sort 
• Ban of travel to and from the delegations concerned (except for emergencies and exceptional cases)
• Closing of mosques.
