Tunisia-Khemaies Jhinaoui : “I headed the Tunisian Interests Office in Tel-Aviv”

Former Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs Khemaies Jhinaoui firmly denied the existence of normalization ties or relationships with Israel during the 1990s.
According to Jhinaoui, he headed the Tunisian Interests Office in Tel-Aviv in 1996 but was dismissed from his function and replaced after it became apparent to Tunisian diplomacy at the time that the government of Benjamin Netanyahu’s attempted to impair the peace process.
