Isie president Farouk Bouasker declared, on the sidelines of a press conference held today, that all polling stations in Tunisia opened their doors at 8 a.m.
He recollected that the ISIE has 1,1485 polling stations installed in Tunisia and abroad.
”The polling stations welcome voters normally from 8 a.m. and close at 6 p.m. Some offices in Kasserine, Sidi Bouzid, Jendouba, Kef and Siliana will open their doors exceptionally from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. for security reasons.
Other offices in Médenine, notably Djerba-Houmet Souk, Midoun-Ajim and Zarzis will be open for two overtime, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. to take into regard the demographic specificity of the inhabitants of the region, “he said.
Bouasker stated that 270032 voters voted during the first two hours of voting indicating that the figure cited is adjusted upwards.
According to him, the figure is not low compared to that recorded on the sidelines of the referendum or the old elections.
