Tunisia-Mahdi Ben Ghzela announces his resignation from the Democratic Current

Democratic Current Party national council chairman Majdi Ben Ghezala today declared his resignation from the Democratic Current. He emphasised, nevertheless, that there can be no democracy without the participation of democratic parties with national projects. Majdi Ben Ghezala condemned the latest measures taken by the President of the Republic, Kais Saied believing that the fact of holding the 3 powers can only lead to a tyrannical regime.

“Opposing and fighting the system before July 25 cannot be done by breaking the Constitution and setting up ‘mutant’ political regimes. The fight for democracy, development, social justice and the establishment of a powerful and just state is a long road which entails the fall of the populist system that has not been established, ”he added.
