Mahdia reported two new infections with COVID-19, announced local health director Dr Samia Al-Faqih.
In a statement to Shems FM, she clarified that the first case was reported in a returnee from Saudi Arabia while the second case in an elderly from Boumerdès.
Sadly the elderly passed away Friday in his house, sample analysis showed he had COVID-19.
Furthermore, an investigation will be opened on those who came in close contact with him.
